In Terminator 2, why did Ah-nold shoot the frozen Robert Patrick? With less surface area, he would've thawed slower.

Also, the T-X in Terminator 3 seemed to be a step backward from the T-1000, given that it had a structural endoskeleton, whereas the T-1000 was decentralized nanomachines. Thus, as shown in the movie, the T-1000 can change itself around so its chest becomes arms and shit when it pwns Ah-nold in the iron mill or whatever the fuck it was. Whereas, in Terminator 3, Ah-nold grabs the T-X's leg or some such, thus STOPPING IT, while in theory the T-1000 could've just detached the limb like a lizard detaching its tail, and continued its pursuit!

Watch Kyle Reese's interrogation in Terminator 1. he says they smashed its defense grid and it was beaten, so it sent the terminator(s) back to kill connor so that never happens.

I guess when they say it was beaten, they just mean they'd won, but hadn't totally removed the skynet menace.
