No, it premiered last Wednesday, here are the numbers:

Day 1: Superman open with 21 million.
Day 2: Superman scored another 11 mil.

Totaly earned to date: 43 million.

Let's do some math.

21+11=32

Which means for the entire three day opening weekend, it only scored another 11 million. Not exactly blockbuster numbers here. The weekend should have scored with higher numbers, but it didn't.

Final result: Superman Returns fails as a movie over all.

Bryan Singer's career spirals to a horrible drunken end.

I would blame those sales partially on the timing, because I bet you anything a huge number of people are waiting to see it on the 4th with their friends and families, like I am.

Have you seen X3? They used the same CGI techniques for the whole movie that made stewart and mckellan look 10 years younger when they went to see Jean Grey.

Just about 40-50 years.

They won't actually make him look 50 years younger, because then he'd only be like 2 or 3. They're probably gonna come up with some story about how they age slower because of their power or something.

Apparently, there's supposed to be four villains in this, but I doubt it.

They are saying there's going to be Venom, Sandman, The Lizard, and Green Goblin II/Hobgoblin (I hope Raimi doesn't fuck that up).

I think when they say The Lizard, they simply mean Doc Conners.

And I seriously doubt we're going to actually see Venom. We'll see Spider-Man struggling with the black suit, get rid of it, and then fight Green Goblin II and see Gwen Stacey die and all that.

Sandman will be a quick intro villain. He fights Sandman for about fifteen to twenty minutes just to open the movie up with.

That's really the only way I can see them doing it. Unless they plan on doing a Sinister Six type thing, which would be gay at this point.

There's rumors also about Bruce Campbelle doing a cameo as Mysterio. But, there's also rumors about him doing that in a fourth film.

I'll agree with deliis on most of it but one point... if they decide this is the end of the series (never know with actors), then I could see them closing strong with the final fight being venom. Honestly, there's nowhere else to go AFTER venom... he's endgame.
